Lockdown has distanced movie buffs from theatres since the last six months. Even though people have got used to OTT platforms during the pandemic, they clearly are lacking the experience of watching their favourite flicks on the big screen. Recently, Central Government gave permission to open theatres from 15th October and ordered exhibitors to function with fifty percent occupancy.
There is a strange situation prevailing now as no producer is ready to release his film immediately in theatres as people are unwilling to go to cinema halls. Controversial director Ram Gopal Varma is bracing up to the challenge of releasing his ‘Corona Virus’ in theatres. While filmmakers spent time in isolation during lockdown, RGV shot ‘ATT’ films and made good money. Directed by Agasthya Manju,‘Corona Virus’ will release on October 15th. Industry circles and movie buffs are appreciating RGV’s guts for this daring move.
