It seems politics in Krishna district is heating up with Minister Kodali Nani’s comments. Former Minister Devineni Uma has given a complaint on Nani in Tadepalli Police Station regarding spiteful comments made on him. Uma said, “Instead of Ambedkar’s constitution, ‘Raja Reddy’ constitution is in the force in Andhra Pradesh.”
Uma alleged that Nani has openly threatened to kill him by running a lorry over him and urged the police department to take action over those comments. He also added the names of Gannavaram MLA, Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Mylavaram MLA, Vasantha Krishna Prasad for making indecent remarks on him. He gave a CD to the Police officials containing the clippings of the comments.
TDP leaders condemned Nani’s comments on Chandrababu Naidu. TDP’s Krishna district president Bachchala Arjunudu said, “Attacks on Dalits are escalating rapidly in the state and there is no democracy whatsoever. Ruling party leaders are attacking the opposition leaders who question them. People will revolt against Jagan Government very soon.”
Will the case stand?
The case against Kodali Nani is still not registered by the Police. As we all know, that Police has their hands tied when it comes to registering cases on the ruling party leaders. Even if the Police register the case, it will be dismissed by the court in no time since Nani did not mean as complained by Uma. So this complaint is just to bring media coverage for TDP leaders and won’t matter much.
