There was high drama in the city on the last day of filing of the nominations for the Greater Election. The BJP refuted TRS’ propaganda wherein the latter blamed the former of having written a letter to the Election Commission to stop the flood relief aid. The party’s state president Bandi Sanjay challenged the chief minister to come to the Bhagyalakshmi temple to swear regarding the truth about the letter. Sanjay reached Charminar Bhagyalakshmi Temple at 12 noon. On the contrary, the TRS leaders ignored BJP’s challenge. However, the ruling party wants the BJP leaders to debate on issues related to Hyderabad development rather than indulge in unnecessary banter.
Sanjay goes missing last night
Bandi Sanjay having attended a meet to discuss regarding ticket allotments went off the grid, after releasing the fourth list, late last night. Even attempts by the police till day-break to trace the saffron leader had failed. On the other hand, BJP leaders and activists had planned to organise a bike rally from the Nampally state office. Initially, alerted by the developments, the police did not give the permit to hold rallies in the city and warned that violators would be apprehended. Later, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner allowed the BJP leaders to visit the temple.
BJP cadre reached Bhagyalakshmi temple in large numbers
With no police restrictions, the cadre reached the temple in large numbers. Bandi Sanjay arrived at the temple at 12 noon. Sanjay was angry that KCR did not respond to his challenge and did not come out. He said that no one would believe the TRS party, which created a letter by forging his signature. Bandi Sanjay warned the TRS party for resorting to cheap tricks over the fear of losing.
