TRS has taken up the graduate enrolment process seriously. All MLAs and corporators are busy seen enrolling graduates for the upcoming MLC polls. They are trying their best to achieve the target set by the TRS working president. KTR made it clear that he needs the active involvement of all the corporators and MLAs in ensuring all the graduates are enrolled as voters.
In the Greater Hyderabad Corporators meet, KTR stated that onus is on corporators to take the message to voters, else they may not to be provided with party tickets. It is learnt that KTR has expressed his displeasure over the performance of 15 corporators and has indirectly warned them to achieve the targets set by the party. Each corporator has been tasked with enrolling around 10,000 to 20,000 graduates.
KTR has also directed party leaders to take into account past experience and ensure that TRS wins the graduate constituencies of Hyderabad-Ranga Reddy-Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda-Khammam-Warangal in the upcoming MLC elections.
Voter enrolment process plays a crucial role in win or loss in MLC polls and hence the issue is taken with utmost seriousness. However, the ruling party wants to enroll as many graduates as possible to send a clear sign to the opposition saying that they would emerge victors. It is to be seen how corporators make the enrolment process a success following KTR’s announcement.
