Megastar Chiranjeevi is remaking the Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer into Telugu. He roped in Kollywood director Mohan Raja to helm the megaphone for this most ambitious remake. N.V Prasad is bankrolling this project.
The makers have considered the names of senior actress Suhasini and Priyamani for Chiru’s sister role in the film initially. At a point, they have even planned to reprise Manju Warrier from the original which hasn’t worked out. Finally, both Chiru and Mohan Raja zeroed in on Lady Superstar Nayanthara for this role.
Nayan has played the role of Megastar’s wife in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy recently. As she is playing his sister in Lucifer now, we have to wait and see whether Chiru’s fans can digest this combination or not.
