No remorse or guilt could be witnessed in Padmaja, the mother of Alekhya and Divya Sai who were murdered over allegations of occult practices. On the other hand, the lady with her weird behaviour caused much trouble for the police personnel and the health workers. It is learnt that she was shouting and shrieking even in jail. However, several suspicions are being expressed over her health condition.
It is known that the Madanapalle double murders turned sensational in the state. When the accused Purushottam and Padmaja were being taken into custody, the latter still in trance was seen arguing with the police moving her hands. Her husband Purushottam told the police that they organized rituals in order to treat the ill-health of their daughters. However, the mother of the deceased Padmaja insists that they haven’t committed murder and got into a verbal duel with the police.
After the arrest, when the couple were taken for Covid testing, there Padmaja was seen claiming that she is Lord Shiva and questioned the police as to how they could conduct the test. She even went onto say that Corona would end by March without the need of any vaccines and that the pandemic emanated from her body particles. When Purushottam tried to reason with her, she lashed out at her husband saying that she was Shiva and shouted at him for restraining her, thereby shocking everyone. However, finally, the Covid tests were done and the accused were presented in court. The couple were remanded to jail for 14 days and Padmaja was lodged in an isolated cell.
