Appreciating the Telangana State government for including the life of NTR in school books, former minister Mutha Gopalakrishna has expressed disappointment over no one reacting to the news except his son Nandamuri Balakrishna. The former minister while demanding AP government to take similar measures has expressed regret for his own role in ditching NTR and joining N Chandrababu Naidu, 25 years ago.
Gopalakrishna recollected the incident at Viceroy Hotel in 1995. He apparently received a call from Daggubati Venkateswara Rao who asked him to attend a meeting to discuss the situation in the party. “I had gone to meet NTR at his residence to inform him about the meeting. However, Lok Satta founder Jayaprakash Narayana, who was NTR’s personal secretary did not allow me to meet the TDP founder. JP said NTR already knows about the developments taking places in the party and asked me to go and attend the meeting.” he said. He further alleged that JP had advised NTR to dissolve the State Assembly.
But the talk in the State is why did JP not get any importance after Naidu became the chief minister if he had helped him?
