Police surrounded the TDP main office in Mangalagiri on Friday after Telugu Nadu Students Federation (TNSF) gave a clarion call to protest against the ruling government’s GO 77, which cancels the fee reimbursement scheme for degree and PG students. The TNSF planned to take out a rally to CM YS Jagan’s camp office at Tadepalli. Since the TDP main office is located close to the CM camp office, the police surrounded the TDP office and beefed-up security in the area to curb any untoward incidents. Even the party workers in the TDP office were not allowed to go out for lunch.
As a precautionary measure
It is learnt that police surrounded the TDP office having been misinformed about the presence of a huge number of TNSF leaders and workers. However, when police could not find any of the TNSF leaders and workers in the TDP office they left the place. The TDP cadre has criticised the police for having surrounded the office.
