Tamil star hero Suriya and Jyothika are considered an adorable couple in the South Indian film fraternity. They got married in 2006 and have two children. They were considered a hit pair once and acted together in seven films. Jyothika left films after marriage for many years and her comeback film 36 Vayadhinile was released in 2015.
She went on to star in lady-oriented films mostly under Suriya’s own production house like Magalir Mattum and Ponmagal Vandhal in her second innings. Ponmagal Vandhal which was released on Prime Video became a smashing hit and Jyothika’s performance was lauded by critics. It was dubbed into Telugu as Bangaru Thalli.
After all these years, Suriya and Jyothika are reportedly sharing the screen space in an upcoming film under the direction of Bangalore Days fame Anjali Menon. Anjali is currently penning the script for this film in association with another lady director named Halitha Shameem. This film will be multi-lingual and let’s wait and see whether this couple reproduces the same magic they once created on the celluloid or not.
