Young filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana is debuting with Vaishnav Tej’s Uppena as a director. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings banners jointly. Uppena is lying in the cans for a long time due to the closure of theatres. DSP scored the music for it and the songs have already become sensational.
Buchi Babu worked as an assistant to Sukumar prior to Uppena and is well known in the industry circles. Sithara Entertainments has given advance and roped him to do a film under the banner. As this young director has already committed to Mythri Movie Makers to do two films, he is said to have conveyed the same to Sithara’s team. Even though Babu told them that he will make his third film for Sithara, Suryadevara Naga Vamsi reportedly pressurized him to start a flick immediately.
This made the young director return the advance and walk away from the project politely. The makers of Uppena are keen on releasing it in theatres resisting all the tempting offers from OTT platforms. While Krithi Shetty is playing the female lead, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is playing a pivotal role in the film.
