Great news for the movie buffs of Telangana! KCR led TRS Govt. has given its nod to open the movie theatres in Telangana. The officials have issued a GO regarding the opening of theatres all across the state today. Instead of mentioning a particular date, the Govt. left the decision to the discretion of the theatre owners.
According to them, a theatre owner can resume the operation whenever he wants following stringent guidelines. The theatres have to function with 50 percent capacity and to be sanitized regularly. The staff must ensure that patrons are equipped with a mask and a sanitizer mandatorily.
Even though Central Govt. has given green signal to open the theatres awhile ago, Telangana Govt. held its decision owing to the severity of the cases in the state. Exhibitors and theatre workers expressed their happiness as they have greatly suffered from eight months of inactivity. Let’s wait and see whether the people of Telangana start flocking to the theatres or not.
