An incident of a YSRCP leader demanding bribes in sanctioning houses which are allocated by the state government has come to light in Chittoor. This shows how the public is being fooled by YSRCP political leaders. A case of a woman being assured land to build a house by a YSRCP leader has come to the fore. The politician took Rs 30,000 from the woman for the same, but neither the woman got house pattas nor the money. Even her name was not to be found in the housing scheme list released by the AP government. Sadly, the worried woman approached the police for help.
If we delve into the details, a YSRCP leader Surendra from Bangarupalem village of Chittoor district had assured Parvathamma house pattas under the housing scheme launched by AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The Politician then even struck an agreement with the lady having taken a sum of Rs 30,000 from her, which included an advance of additional Rs 5000. Now, with the housing scheme event held by the AP government, Parvathamma hoped that her name would be in the list of beneficiaries granted house pattas by the government. However, to her dismay, her name was not to be found in the list.
Immediately, when the lady confronted the YSRCP leader the latter in return threatened her. This prompted Parvathamma to approach the police for help and seek justice. Now, the police who registered a case against YSRCP leader Surendra following a complaint filed by the woman revealed shocking details. According to SI Ramakrishna, the YSRCP leader had fooled several others in the name of house pattas and even took money from them for the same.
With the issue of YSRCP Surendra having escalated and noticed by MLA MS Babu of Puthalapattu Mandalam in Chittoor district, the former was suspended from the party. Even Surendra’s son who has been working as a volunteer in the region has been fired. MLA MS Babu also directed authorities to ensure that Surendra is removed from his duties and a full-fledged investigation be carried out.
