Even though the lockdown has paralyzed the world, it turned a few into heroes. This may sound strange, but one such ‘Reel’ villain who turned into a ‘Real’ life hero during the crisis is our very own ‘Pasupathi’ Sonu Sood.
Sonu is known for his menacing looks and spine-chilling villainous characters; especially his portrayal of a ruthless womanizer ‘Pasupathi’ in blockbuster film ‘Arundhati’ is unforgettable. He hit the headlines due to his unconditional service to hapless citizens who were stranded due to the lockdown. He also arranged buses and facilitated special trains for them to reach their homes apart from helping them meet their basic needs. Sonu even bought a tractor for a farmer in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh which became a sensation. Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu lauded his efforts many a time.
After several months, Sonu reached Hyderabad to participate in the shoot of Bellamkonda Srinivas’s ‘Alludu Adhurs’. Actor Prakash Raj and crew members extended a warm welcome to Sonu and felicitated him. Sonu was overwhelmed by the gesture, and sources say he even let out tears of joy for the love showered on him.
The team of ‘Alludu Adhurs’ resumed regular shooting to complete the remainder talkie part and songs. Sonu also participated in the ‘Green India Challenge’ initiated by Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar by planting saplings at the Ramoji Film City. He said that it is everyone’s duty to preserve greenery for a healthy world and requested one and all to be a part of this Green Challenge.
