Megastar Chiranjeevi’s comeback film Khaidi No.150 became a mega-hit at the box office. It was produced by Ram Charan under Konidela Production Company banner. This bumper hit made Charan pump exorbitant amounts into Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy which was Chiru’s dream project.
Even though Sye Raa collected handsomely in Telugu states, it remained largely unnoticed in the other territories. This made Cherry incur losses amounting to Rs.70crores. It gave a rude jolt to the mega compound and Chiranjeevi took a wise decision to partner with Matinee Entertainments for his upcoming Acharya. Niranjan Reddy and Ram Charan are producing it jointly.
Chiru’s Vedhalam remake is bankrolled by Anil Sunkara whereas Lucifer’s remake is produced by N.V Prasad. Tollywood sources are abuzz that Chiranjeevi gave his nod to other producers to save Charan from unnecessary production pressures and losses.
