Firebrand Kangana Ranaut is well known for her hot-headedness. Her controversial remarks on Bollywood biggies regarding Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide and drug abuse have said to hurt the who’s who of tinsel town. She is back in the thick of controversy after her unsavoury remarks calling Mumbai ‘PoK’ which didn’t quite go well with Mumbaikars and Shiv Sena, the ruling party. She remarked that 99 percent of Bollywood is addicted to drugs. Tagging the PMO, she tweeted that Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Ayan Mukherjee and Vicky Kaushal should give their blood samples for drug testing.
Kangana’s latest comments on Mumbai Police have also hogged headline space. She said that she had lost faith in Mumbai Police as they failed in giving security to the normal citizens. Kangana dragged the name of Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh’s into this controversy by criticising his working style. Home Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh strongly condemned her statements saying that the efficiency of Mumbai Police is nothing short of Scotland Yard and they are the best when it comes to serving people.
“If she thinks that she doesn’t have security in Mumbai or Maharashtra, then she also doesn’t have the right to live here”, concluded Anil Deshmukh. Kangana challenged him by saying, “I am coming to Mumbai on September 9th and dare to stop me if you can”. Now these comments have also been condemned by many of her co-stars. Sonu Sood in response to these comments said, “Mumbai can change our fate if we are righteous.”
Mumbai is still in India commented actor Ritesh Deshmukh. “Mumbai has fed millions of people like me and people who don’t have gratitude will talk like this”, said Urmila Matondkar. Even actresses like Dia Mirza and Renuka Shahane condemned Kangana’s comments.
