Speculations are rife about Rajinikanth sharing screen space with Kamal in this film. Earlier the actor duo said they will be starring in a film soon. An announcement regarding their combination should have come on 5th of March but got postponed due to the pandemic. Rajini and Kamal acted in 16 films together in the past. Their last film was ‘Giraftar’ with Amitabh Bachchan.
Rajinikanth is doing ‘Annatthe’ while Kamal Hasan is busy with ‘Bharateeyudu-2’ now. There is a speculation that both of them will travel in the same boat in politics. This movie may act as a platform for their political journey ahead. If Rajini agrees to act in this film, it would repeat their combination after 35 years. Rajinikanth also said that he wants to do a film with Lokesh Kanagaraj after watching his ‘Kaithi’.
