VV Vinayak is one of the most talented directors in Tollywood. His ability to make movies based on mass pulse is outstanding and his blockbuster hits in the past proves it. His last film ‘Intelligent’ with Sai Dharam Tej flopped at box office. Currently Vinayak is away from the megaphone as he is about to make his acting debut with his upcoming film ‘Seenayya’.
Sources say that a bumper offer knocked his doors now. We all know that Megastar Chiranjeevi is going to act in the remake of Malayalam hit ‘Lucifer’ and ‘Saaho’ director Sujeeth is going to direct it. But Megastar is not satisfied with Sujeeth’s script, and as per reliable sources, Chiru has replaced him with Vinayak. Malayalam Lucifer’s Telugu dubbed version had earlier gone away unnoticed, but Ram Charan sensed opportunity and wanted to remake this political thriller with his dad. Even Chiranjeevi got impressed with this decision and suggested Vinayak’s name earlier. As Vinayak was busy shooting for ‘Seenayya’, the team consulted Sujeeth. Now the project has gone back to Vinayak, just as megastar wanted it in the first place.
Vinayak changed ‘Lucifer’ to suit Telugu nativity and Chiranjeevi is said to be impressed with the outcome. Earlier Vinayak changed the entire flow of ‘Ramana’ and breathed life into its Telugu version ‘Tagore’ which became a sensational hit. He repeated the success with ‘Khaidi No. 150’ which was Chiru’s comeback film.
The regular shooting of this film is said to commence from the second half of 2021. Mohanlal’s character in the original film doesn’t have a heroine while in Telugu, the team has finalised a top actress to star opposite megastar. Let’s wait and see whether this Vinayak sentiment works out for megastar or not.
