There is a talk among the political circles that the TRS has fallen in the trap of BJP leaders on the issue of lathi charge on the BJP workers in the tearing of Flexi of Swami Vivekananda, countering comments of TRS leaders. However, the results of Warangal are likely to have an impact on how long sentiment politics can work. Bandi Sanjay alleged that the funds given to Warangal were diverted by the government and challenged the TRS leaders to come before Bhadrakali temple for swearing. He alleged that the government diverted Rs 196 Crore given for Warangal. With this, the party has made its stand clear on the Warangal elections. The police became alert after the counter-allegations were made by another section to the comments of Sanjay and they asked people to be cautious with people provoking.
Sanjay tried to make people be on his side by making allegations of diversion of funds and also swearing in front of Bhadrakali temple on development and also the corruption of the MLAs. The TRS leaders also countered this on Bandi Sanjay and also on BJP. They alleged that the BJP was doing religious politics and said that the party used Bhagyalakshmi temple as an issue in Hyderabad. Panchayat Raj minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao gave a soft counter by asking BJP leaders to come for discussion openly and not in temples.
In wake of the police lathi charge against the BJP workers on Swamy Vivekananda Flexi in Janagam, Sanjay decided to meet the president of Janagam district president from Janagam crossroads to the hospital via padayatra. The police were also on alert. Though Janagam was in another district, the BJP told the youth that the TRS government was not even allowing Vivekananda flexis and wanted to continue the issue even in Warangal district. These two issues are likely to be used by BJP to its advantage.
At a time, these comments were going on, TRS MLC and KCR’s daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha celebrated Bhogi at Charminar Bhagyalakshmi temple. With this, the BJP followers took to social media to question the TRS. They said that when they talk of the temple, the TRS says it as politics but what the ruling party would say about Kavitha going to the temple.
